Receiving a Phone Call
A ringing tone alerts you of an incoming phone call. In addition,
the following message is displayed.
(Example: You are receiving a phone call.)
• To answer a phone call:
Press .
• If you are unable to answer the phone call, press .
DTMF Tones
Once an initial call has been made, pressing a key generates a
Dual-Tone Multi-Frequency (DTMF) tone for the duration of
the key press. DTMF tones are often used for credit-card dialing,
answering machines, voice mail, etc.
Burst DTMF Sequence
Once an initial call has been made, a
second number may be selected by
Memory Scroll, Alpha Search, or
Speed Dial. Pressing causes the
number to be sent as a rapid DTMF
tone sequence.
If Caller ID is supported
on your Network, the top
line of the display will
indicate the number or
name of the person calling.

Lifting the handset from
the cradle automatically
answers the call.
